Working within the basic framework of the Total Control Music System, the elements
of modern electric bass playing are explored, along with specifics of performing them. 
Specifics related to various styles of playing are also studied: .Students will learn both
flatpick and fingerstyle right-hand techniques, how to perform slides, hammer-ons,
pull-offs, how to construct an appropriate bass line for any style of music, how to use
the bass to control the "feel"of the entire band, how to keep time (when playing
without a drummer), how to work effectively as part of a rhythm section (when
playing with a drummer). In addition we will study the music and styles of specific
artists and/or other material of the student's choosing
